Ⓘ To select a platform for an online training, start with the audience. In order to choose a platform, you should know the participants’ location, any access restrictions based on that location, the number of participants, and their comfort or existing use of tools and platforms in consideration. Once you understand your basic requirements, you can make a list of must-have and nice to have functions. Your functions requirement list may include details around: registration process, user management, course analytics, user analytics, mobile learning, cost, security, etc. When you have a functions requirement list, choose the platforms that you will test against it. Whenever possible, make this process collaborative with your team or learners, when appropriate.
